Summer is coming! On May 21st, 11 members of the orchestra traveled to Decorah, Iowa for a musical memorial for our dear friend John Goodin. The orchestra, with 19 other groups, spent the afternoon performing John's compositions as well as some of his other favorite tunes.
As spring blossoms into summer, it brings FESTIVALS! Our first (meteorological) summer performance will be June 4th at St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church in parallel with the St. Anthony Park Arts Festival.
We will be performing at several venues new to us this summer, including the Minnesota History Center! Here are some of our upcoming public performances.
Saturday, June 4, 11:00 – 12:30pm: St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church, 2323 Como Ave. St. Paul. Supporting the St. Anthony Park Arts Festival
As always, if you like our music and play one of our instruments (mandolin, octave mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar, bass), come to a rehearsal, if you like what we do, come back and you’re in! Unless we’re performing somewhere, we rehearse on Monday nights at St. Anthony Lutheran Church from 7-8:30 pm.
